Beautiful and private mountain ranch located just minutes North of Cedaredge, Colorado, with Highway 65 access to the ranch. Forked Horn Ranch consists of 1,577± deeded acres located in GMU 411 and 52, with excellent big game hunting and over the counter tags for elk. Breathtaking views of the adjoining Grand Mesa National Forest as well as the West Elk Mountains, San Juan Mountains and the valley floor below. 

Enjoy over 3 miles of 3 year-round mountain creeks with excellent trout fishing for Cutthroat, Brookies, and Rainbows. It is a pristine alpine setting with a very nice mix of aspen, oaks, and piñon intermingled with beautiful mountain meadows. Elevations run from 7,500-9,000 feet. Electricity is on the property and runs to the small, cozy hunter’s cabin. This is a true wildlife paradise with elk, mule deer, bear, turkeys and an occasional moose on the ranch – truly a diamond in the rough!

The Grand Mesa National Forest is a full service recreational playground! From the hiking, fishing, skiing, hunting, camping, to the Grand Mesa National Scenic and Historic Byway, the choices are limitless! It tops at over 10,000 feet high with 300 plus lakes and reservoirs and more than 200 of them contain rainbow, brook, and native cutthroat trout, and occasionally German Brown trout.

In less than 30 minutes from Forked Horn Ranch, you can be at the Powderhorn Ski Resort which sits on the edge of the Grand Mesa with awesome valley views!
