Clear Fork Ranch

The beautiful 3,351± acre mountainous Clear Fork Ranch is located just minutes southeast of Crawford, Colorado, offering all the amenities of a high country alpine Ranch. The majestic backdrop of the Gunnison National Forest with Mendicant Ridge and Castle Rock towers over the upper deeded, which at 9000′ elevation provides unspoiled mountain beauty, presence, and privacy. 

Dense forests of aspens w/some spruce interwoven with lush mountain meadows in the upper elevations, 6± miles of two year-round creeks (Clear Fork & Doug Creek) traverse the ranch, plus several springs, ponds, and wallows are located on the ranch as well. Several of these springs have fishery development potential. 

The ranch transitions from the upper elevations to the mid-lower elevations (8000′ to 6800′) with a diverse mix of vegetation with gamble oaks, aspen pockets, cedars and pinyon with a nice mix of natural meadows. The majority of the deeded acreage is contiguous, with the exception of the original Homesteads 246± acre farm which has 100±  irrigated acres in pasture/hay and is located approximately one mile from the main ranch.

Clear Fork Ranch is an exceptional big game hunting ranch located in GMU’s 53 and 63, a corridor well known for trophy mule deer, excellent elk hunting for quality bulls in the 280-330 range, plus big bears, mountain lions and excellent turkey hunting. Elk tags are available over the counter for some seasons, plus an owner can apply for mule deer buck landowner vouchers. The ranch has six cozy/comfortable hunting cabins situated in a beautiful upper mountain meadow.

Clear Fork Ranch adjoins both the Gunnison National Forest & a small parcell of BLM that is leased by the current owner. Located less than an hour drive to Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Park, Blue Mesa Reservoir, Crystal Reservoir, Curecanti National Recreational Area and only minutes to both Crawford State Park/Reservoir and the Gold Medal waters of the gorgeous Gunnison River.
